MENDOTA, IL — Black Brothers Company will be onsite at LIGNA — the world’s leading woodworking fair for 50 years — on May 26-30 in Hanover, DE. Industry stalwart Steve DeLong will be representing the 143-year-old machinery manufacturer as part of the WIA Pavillion in Hall 27, Stand K49.
“It’s important to go be part of it and waive the flag,” DeLong said. “There’s no other industry show like it, in terms of size and scope. I’m excited to walk around a little more that I have in the past, see some of the competitive machines and what’s going on industrywide. And, of course, continue to bring in some leads. Make sure people know we’re here and still leading the way in laminating.”
Other conferences and trade shows on the radar for Black Bros. in Q2 include the annual Wood Industry Conference, Decorative Hardwood Association Spring Conference and Meetings, Converters Expo, and the newly-organized WoodTech Connect.
“We are always looking for ways to get in front of our customers and potential customers, and through the years events like these have proven successful for us,” said Marketing Manager Clay Coss. “Nothing beats that handshake and face-to-face interaction. There are all these modern ways to communicate and present what you can offer as a company, which we are also interested in doing well. But, it’s still imperative to get out and see your prospects in person.”
The company’s largest marketing efforts in 2025 will be exhibiting at the AWFS Fair again in Las Vegas, NV on July-22-25. Black Bros. will be providing daily demonstrations of its automated Panel Express System. The machine line is capable of producing one laminated panel per minute with almost no additional press time. Curing is accelerated using radiant heat and spring-loaded pressure to bond HPL to substrates such as particleboard or MDF.
“We’re all in for that one,” Coss said. “The Panel Express line and its push-button process is always so well received at shows. And with our team, we’ll have an insane amount of experience and knowledge when it comes to anything coating or laminating. We’re looking forward to it, for sure.”
