Black Bros. Co. took a pause Wednesday, Dec. 14 to reflect upon 140 years of business. President and CEO Matthew Carroll and family members briefly halted operations at 8 a.m. and invited associates to celebrate the significant milestone over breakfast.
Carroll spoke a few words about the company’s history and thanked those present for the continued success of the longtime American manufacturing company, noting he is specifically proud of the security it has provided so many families over the years.
In December of 1882 in Lanark, Scotland The Black Brothers Machinery Company opened for business. Today, Black Bros. is approaching its sixth generation of family ownership and is a world-renown machinery manufacturer best known for its industry-leading roll coating and laminating equipment.
