Coil Coating & Finishing

Cold Press Systems

Black Bros. offers single machines, to fully automated Cold Press lines for bonding panels in a batch process. Cold pressing is the fastest method for laminating “same size” sheets in a production setting. System throughput can be optimized to reach 2-3 sheets per minute. Hot Melt PUR Systems

Polyurethane Reactive Hot Melts are taking the marketplace by storm, due to their high green strength and water-proof glue line. They offer characteristics that no other adhesive can compare to. PUR’s also offer one of the widest ranges of products that they can bond together, unlike water-based adhesives which rely on at least one porous surface. Don’t let the idea of using a hot melt adhesive scare you, they are easy to apply, and cleanup is amazingly simple.

Hot Roll Laminating Systems

Hot Press Systems

Black Bros. has teamed up with Joos USA to offer a high quality hot press to the market place. Hot presses have traditionally been the machine of choice for bonding veneers to MDF and particle board. Today however, hot presses are being used for a wide range of products, and like the fast-tack systems, are able to manage both full sheet and cut-to-size components if nested properly. Panel Express Laminator

This is our most popular offering for “fast-tack” adhesive machinery. While a cold rotary press is fine for many applications, the Panel Express brings a production element cold systems can’t compete with…heat!

The introduction of heat from the twin banks of IR heaters allows the fabricator to start machining parts almost immediately after they are laminated. Product needn’t sit and cure. It comes out of the press ready to move.

SIP Systems

Black Bros. offers a range of presses and spreaders for the SIP’s industry (Structural Insulated Panel). The benefits of the Air Pod Press have been redesigned into a machine tailored for the SIP’s manufacturing marketplace. Black Bros. has built machines for standard 4’ wide production, as well as presses to laminate 9′ x 24′ jumbo panels (and larger).
